Pre-Registration
- Choosing
a password
This is necessary so you can
edit the page you created in the Webpage creator at a later time. Some
recommendations in making a password include:
- something you will remember
- not easily guessed (don't use your
phone number or a birth date etc.)
- it is advisable to make your password
at least 4 characters long, using letter and at least a number so
password guessing is more difficult.
- Email
Address
If you have an email address
enter it in this form field. If you have more than one email address,
choose one that you think will serve you best. The email address will
also be used for any online coupons or customer emails from your Webage.
If you do not have an e-mail address, you can get one for Free from http://www.yahoo.com/
or http://www.hotmail.com
Step 1 - Edit Farm/Ranch/Company Information
- Farm/Ranch/Company
Name (optional)
Enter your Farm/Ranch/Company name in this form field. The Farm/Ranch/ Company
name should be the same as is listed in all other references to
your Farm/Ranch/ Company Name. i.e. local phone book, business cards etc. The text will
be displayed exactly the way you type it.
- Last Name
Enter your last name in this form field. Make sure to watch Capital letters when entering
your name. The text will be displayed exactly the way you type it.
- First Name
Enter your
in this form field. Make sure to watch Capital letters when entering
your name. The text will be displayed exactly the way you type it.
- Company
Slogan (optional)
Enter
your slogan in this form field. Make sure to watch sentence case when
entering your company slogan. Note: if you are using Internet Explorer
5+ your slogan will scroll across the screen. This effect is exclusive
to Internet Explorer 5+. Netscape users will not be able to see the
animation effects. Instead the slogan will be centered on the page. The
text will be displayed exactly the way you type it.
Farm/Ranch/Company address in this form field. Make sure to watch Capital letters when
entering your Business or Company's address. The text will be displayed
exactly the way you type it.
Enter the City your Farm/Ranch/Company is located closest to in this form field. Make sure to watch Capital
letters when entering your city/town name. The text will be displayed
exactly the way you type it.
Enter
the Province or State your is located in this form field. Make sure to watch Capital letters when
entering your Province or State. The text will be displayed exactly the
way you type it.
Enter
the Postal code (Canada) or Zip code (US) of your Farm/Ranch/Company.
The text will be displayed exactly the way you type it.
Enter your Farm/Ranch/Company telephone number in this form field. Be sure to include your area code
in brackets i.e. (780)555-5555
Enter your Business or
Company FAX number in this form field. Be sure to include your area code
in brackets i.e. 780-555-5555
If your company has a toll free number, enter the telephone number in this
form field. i.e. 1-800-555-5555
If you have an email address enter it in this form field. If you have more
than one email address, choose one that you think will serve you best.
(same email address as above) If you do not have an e-mail address you
may get one for FREE at www.hotmail.com
or www.yahoo.com
If your Farm/Ranch/Company has a Website, enter the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) in this form
field. Make sure you type the address correctly i.e. http://www.mywebpage.com
List directions how to get to your Farm/Ranch/Company in this form field. Remember to
type exactly as you want this text to appear on your new Web page.
List any show or sale results your
Farm/Ranch/Company
wishes to promote.
Remember to type exactly as you want this text to appear on your new Web page.
Enter
information about your Farm/Ranch/Company
in this form field. Some items could be: Size of operation, number of
animals, family information etc. Remember to type exactly as you want
this text to appear on your new Web page
This
form field is somewhat similar to Farm/Ranch/Company
Description field. Here you may want to list information about your herd sires,
replacement females, embryos, AI.
Remember to type exactly as you want this text to appear on your
new Web page.

minimum of one category must be selected)
The site you are posting your Web page on allows people to search for
ranch/farm/ businesses by category. Choose the category or categories
from the drop-down menus you think are most appropriate for your
Farm/Ranch/ Company.
Pressing
this button will submit your content to the Web page Manager and offer
you the next step in the process, designing your Web page
This
button clears All information
you may have entered into the Web page creator forms. You may wish to
use this function if you entered in your information, and didn't like
what the page looked like. You may also use this to clear the form and
start again.
Upload Graphic or
Logo (Save / Submit your information above before uploading any graphics).
The very first item on the Information Content page is Upload Graphic or
Logo. The graphic or logo you choose to upload Must be a
.GIF or .JPG format and 57K or less for file
size. If you do not have your logo or graphic ready you may wish to do
this step at a later time.
NOTE: The graphic you upload will replace your business or company name in
text. You either have a logo or a text name but not both.
Instructions on uploading your Graphic or Logo:
1. The easiest way is to save your .jpg or .gif file to your desk top.
2. Click the link at the top of the page "Upload Logo/Graphic"
3. You will be taken to the page called "Upload Logo/Graphic". On
this page Click the "Browse" button.
4. Select Desktop from your "Look in:" window.
5. Scroll through your desktop files until you find the file you wish to
upload.
6. Select this image file and click Open.
7. This image file will now be in your Browser window.
8. Click the "Upload Image Button"
9. The next window will display your image or logo and will state, "Image
has been uploaded!"
To Change your image or Logo:
10. Simply click on the logo in the Information Content Page and then
follow these instructions above again.
Step 2 - Webpage Designer
Design Your Own
This area allows you to
select the font face All the text in your Webage will be. There is
a set list due to the fact not everyone has the same fonts installed on
their computer. For this reason you have been given a choice of standard
fonts that come with most PC platform computers today. Fonts available
include; Arial, Comic Sans MS, Courier, Garamond, MS Sans Serif, Times
New Roman, and Verdana.
This drop-down box allows you
to chose the colour of the Background on your Webpage. Click on the
down arrow in the right hand corner of the drop down box to reveal a
menu of available colours. Click the colour you would like to use.
This drop-down box allows you
to chose the colour of the Text on your Webpage, Click on the down
arrow in the right hand corner of the drop down box to reveal a menu of
available colours. Click the colour you would like to use.
A Link is a line of
text or a graphic that has a Hyperlink attached to it. This allows the
user to click on the item and view another page or different site
altogether. This drop-down box allows you to chose the colour of the Links
on your Webpage, Click on the down arrow in the right hand corner of the
drop down box to reveal a menu of available colours. Click the colour
you would like to use.
Once a Link is
clicked, it changes colour to let the user know they have already
clicked on that Link. This drop-down box allows you to chose the
colour of the Visited Links on your Webpage, Click on the down
arrow in the right hand corner of the drop down box to reveal a menu of
available colours. Click the colour you would like to use.
When a Link is
clicked, it changes to the Hover Colour (Active Link colour),
until the user has released the mouse button. This serves as a highlight
to show the user they are clicking the Link. When the mouse
button has been released, the user is taken to the linked page. When the
user returns to your Webpage the Link they just visited changes to
the Visited Link colour. This drop-down box allows you to chose
the colour of the Visited Links on your Webpage, Click on the down
arrow in the right hand corner of the drop down box to reveal a menu of
available colours. Click the colour you would like to use. For the Hover
Link colour it is recommended that you choose a lighter colour than
the Link.
When you click Refresh
Preview, your page will be changed to reflect the new colours you have
chosen.
Click on Save & Exit when
you are satisfied with your results, your Webpage will be updated.
Use a Template
This section provides a number of templates for you to
choose from in designing your Webpage. Click on any one of the templates
if you would like your page to use, A preview of your page will load
automatically. If you would like to choose a different template click
Pick Another Template and make another selection.
Click on Save & Exit when
you are satisfied with your results, your Webpage will be updated.
Step 3 - Request Webpage Publication
This will submit your final request to the CLRC
Marketplace for publication of your page. Once authorized
you will receive notification by email that your page has been accepted
and an invoice will be sent to you.
(NOTE: Once you send your original page for publication/authorization you are
confirming that you wish to have this page published, therefore, you
will be invoiced an annual fee of $75.00 plus GST/HST per year. No
hosting or other fees apply.)
Step 4 - Create a Coupon
Enter the title here for your coupon.
Enter a brief description of your coupon here, i.e., discounts,
special offers etc.
Enter the limitations here, i.e., One coupon per customer.
This field allows you to indicate the date the coupon becomes
active.
This field allows you to indicate the date the coupon expires.
Click this button to submit your coupon to the Marketplace
once you are satisfied with the information on your coupon.
This button clears All information you may have entered
into the coupon creator form. You may wish to use this function if you
entered in your information and didn't like it, use this to clear the
form and start again.
